When forced to move, avoid staying out in the open. Following a road or clearly labeled path, for example, is seldom a smart move. You’re easy to spot and snipers can typically shoot at you from overhead. Run, don’t walk, through open areas.

Try to stay hidden or well protected by nearby surroundings (trees, rock formations, pre-existing structures, buildings, abandoned trucks, and structures you build) as you move around.

Sometimes you’ll be forced to move forward without cover. In this situation, run in a zigzag formation and jump a lot, so you’re not an easy target. Avoid moving in a straight line or following a predictable path whenever you’re out in the open and vulnerable to attack.
